許嘉宏2021年個展「游離的燈」，不同以往將作品觀點定位於國族認同、政治、史觀上的探尋，本次個展將作品核心重新拉回於自身，重新爬梳自我與創作間的關係、生活與內在心理狀態的改變。一直以來「文字」與「符號」都是許嘉宏作品中經常被使用的元素，無論是各種標語或是各種現成物的運用皆是關乎創作本質中至關重要的一環，在本次個展作品中依然有著許多過去元素的沿用，透過各種書寫、文學、電影、繪畫等多種形式的文本載體去破碎式地拼湊生產出對於當下生命狀態的觀照。 本次作品將許多不同時空、物件、記憶、詩句、符號透過具有儀式感、詩性、拼湊、或者是說十分迂迴的手法來細細談論心中那些微不足道、無可名狀的微小漣漪，並且重新建構身份認同的能動性。就像布希雅（Jean Baudrillard）在著作《擬仿物與仿真體》中所言：「虛擬之所以給與你幸福感，是因為它偷偷刪除任何能關聯到事情的蛛絲馬跡。它給你一切。但巧妙地，它同時剝奪了你的一切。」本次個展試圖從各種層面的「拼貼」去呈現出一個非常個人主觀意識的視覺敘事，就像一本剪貼簿般藉由擷取與黏貼的行為去感性尋找自己心中的真實。
【Adrift Under Light】 HSU Chia-Hung solo exhibition
HSU Chia-Hung’s solo exhibition “Adrift Under Light” in 2021 is different from his previous works that focus on exploration in national identity, political, and historical view. In this exhibition, he shifted the subject back to himself, reorganize the relationship between himself and creating, as well as the change in his life and mentation. “Text” and “punctuation marks” have been the most used elements in HSU Chia-Hung’s works. Various slogans or readymades are the most important part of creation essence, and in this exhibition, those elements are still been applied. Through writing, literature, movies, paintings all forms of text to put together the state of life and insight. He uses various space, objects, memories, poetries, symbols, through techniques that are ritual, poetic, and circuitous, to discuss the tiny ripples that are negligible and unexplainable, and reconstruct the initiative of identity. Just like the quote in Simulacres et simulation by Jean Baudrillard, “La virtualité ne se rapproche du bonheur que parce qu'elle retire subrepticement toute référence aux choses. Elle vous donne tout, mais subtilement. Elle vous dérobe tout en même temps. Le sujet y est parfaitement réalisé, mais quand le sujet est parfaitement réalisé, il devient automatiquement objet, et c'est la panique.” This exhibition attempt to present a visual narrative by collaging from different degrees, just like a scrapbook finding the truth through capturing and pasting.

1991 生於中國武漢，現居臺北 Born in China, Now live in Taipei.

2015 畢業於國立新竹教育大學 藝術與設計學系
出生於中國湖北的藝術家許嘉宏，八歲時隨家人移居臺灣後生活至今，作品多半涉及自己身為一個中國出生的臺灣人這個特殊的成長身份來觀看臺灣這塊土地的觀看方式。創作中使用善於同時受過兩種文化與教育的特殊生命經驗為出發點，談及回憶、家庭、身份認同、文化差異等諸多層面，試圖用一種片段式、超現實、儀式性的手法解構兩塊相似卻又相異的土地不同的史觀與痕跡。

Artist Hsu Chia-Hung born in Hubei, China. He immigrated to Taiwan with his family when he was 8. His work mostly involves the special identity which he sees himself as a Chinese Born Taiwanese, and also his perspective to look at Taiwan. In his creation, he especially familiar with using the unique experience that received two cultures and education as the starting point, conveying memories, family, identity, cultural differences and many other aspects, trying to use a fragmentary, surreal, ritual approach to deconstruct the two similar but different lands that have different historical views and traces.
