陳修橋
CHEN XIU-QIAO

2016 國立台灣藝術大學雕塑系

陳修橋從小在山海包圍的花蓮成長，這些自然景色後來成為他創作中描寫情感的一部分元素。

他將「書寫」的概念透過書法與水墨的意象融入木雕中，並研究這些線條、筆觸帶給人的感覺，試圖實踐平面與立體的結合，使寫實與抽象共存於作品中。觀者可以從表象的肢體語言與表情看出情感，或是從作品的顏色、線條、塊面、節奏去感受。陳修橋將之看成是內在與外在相融的體現，進而達到事件與精神性的表述。

Chen Xiu-qiao grew up in Hualien, a city surrounded by mountains and seas. These natural sceneries later became one of the element he used to depict emotions.

Chen Xiu-qiao integrates the concept of "writing" into sculpture through the imagery of calligraphy and ink painting.He studies the feeling derived from carved lines and brushstrokes, and tries to combine two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms so that realism and abstraction coexist in his works.Viewers can see the expression of emotion from body language and facial expressions, or feel it from the color, line, surface, and rhythm of the work.CHEN Xiu-Qiao thinks it is the integration of inner and outer, and then presents the story and spirit he wants to convey.

Sparrow: Will I be like you one day？
Eagle: Who knows? Perhaps we are all essentially the same, but our destiny is already determined by the time we are formed.
Sparrow: Then what is the meaning of my existence? I don't agree with what you said, I want to find the answer myself.

陳修橋：
「鬥魚」這個符號，在我過去的創作中視為「書信」的象徵，來源於典故裡的「魚書」。視覺的書信由形表達內容與情感，而《一把火2》我嘗試將書法，水墨等技法帶入雕塑形式中，由形式取代符號來體現書信。
火焰可以是象徵憤怒感覺，也可以是一個破滅後迎接轉變的契機，對於每個觀者來說都有不同的意義，但對於我創作《一把火》和《一把火2》而言，是一種承接經驗，新舊轉變的體驗，薪火或許更貼切一些。
